An independent property development company required a specialist glazing contractor to complete an extensive, phased, façade refurbishment programme to coincide with a complete site regeneration project.

Throughout the refurbishment programme, access to the glazed façade was via a range of MEWPs and client provided scaffolding.

The supporting images illustrate our site technicians conducting the replacement double glazed units incorporating a ventilation detail to the existing glazed façade. The upgrade glazing works were required so the building can be transformed from a commercial property to residential accommodation.

In order to provide an aesthetic match to the existing facades, GLRE’s procurement team showed their product sourcing prowess by contacting our European-wide list of manufacturers to gain the correct replacement specification of the glazed panels.

Being awarded this project was based upon a proven ability within the commercial sector of delivering high level glazing and vent replacement programmes on time, in programme and most importantly with health and safety at the forefront of everything we do.
