Our client required a bespoke solution to their onsite overhead glazed roofs and canopies to bring them all up to a serviceable standard for future maintenance.

A range of access methods were essential through the works, from IRATA trained rope access technicians to MEWPs and lorry mounted work access platforms. After an initial dilapidation inspection and report, our technical team recommended various works to be undertaken, including; the replacement of sealing washers, steel fixings, defective transom drainage cleats and sealants to all press metal ridge, valley, hips, eaves and gable joints and interface seals, replacement of any cracked or damaged glazed units and full clean down upon works completion.

As a direct result of the size of the project, this contract was completed over several phases. Phase one and two included the necessary glazing refurbishment works to the site’s largest glazed atrium. Phase three consisted of replacing the damaged transoms to the site’s medium atrium via a combination of scaffold towers and IRATA trained glazing technicians. Phase four was the servicing works to a glazed atrium located over the site’s café seating area. Access to this atrium was via our abseil teams due to the difficult access nature of the glazing face. Phase 5 was the final phase of the project and included a full clean down of all site glazing to complete works and hand the site back to our client.
